by Lyssa Royal Holt June 14, 1997 Note: The following is a field report of contact activities experienced during a "Preparing for Contact" retreat in the mountains of Yamanashi, Japan the weekend of June 14 and 15, 1997. Locale: Built approximately ten years ago, the Yamanashi Pyramid Retreat Center is built in the exact specifications of the Great Pyramid in Egypt, only smaller in size. Kept secret until recently, they opened their doors to our group for the first time. It is nestled in a small basin ringed by green mountains near a rushing river -- very reminiscent of the Urubamba Valley in Peru. Group: Seventeen participants, three staff members, myself, and my interpreter Ms. Kazumi Hoshina (total of 22). Sixteen of the seventeen participants were readers of the Japanese version of the book Preparing for Contact ("PFC") upon which this workshop is based. Three participants were already trained for fieldwork in a previous workshop I conducted in 1994 held near Mt. Fuji. One man, Mr. Yamai, has held no less than 20 contact excursions throughout Japan since the 1994 workshop (based on my research). Yamai-san has had extraordinary experiences during fieldwork including photographing two spacecraft--a triangular ship and an "Adamski" type craft--while pointing the camera at an empty sky. At present he is the leader of the CE-5 fieldwork in Japan and will be conducting an event on July 26 to link with other fieldwork being done in Arizona and Wiltshire, England at that time. Background: This workshop consisted of standard PFC techniques as a foundation (including the standard red-green-blue lightwork CTS based on three sets of three signals). Subjects discussed included the brainwave states and the nature of reality; contact and the human memory; the human ego and the contact experience; contact as an exploration of personal evolution, and more. However a brand new technique was introduced which seems to be an evolution of our work over the past few years. It proved to be phenomenally successful. We are calling this new technique the "Fibonacci Spiral". Fibonacci Spiral Technique: Over the last several years myself, my husband (Ronald Holt), Wayne Peterson (from my Phoenix research group), and Shari Adamiak (CSETI Executive Director) have been exploring the idea of using the Fibonacci mathematical sequence in our contact work. So far, due to lack of equipment necessary to produce an audio tape or computerized light work based on the Fibonacci, we have been unable to adequately experiment. During our contact work in England during the summer of 1996, Shari, Ron and I discussed the use of the Fibonacci extensively. Our last discussion was held near Stonehenge. Three days after our departure from Stonehenge, the "Julia Set" formation appeared there, which is a graphic expression of a Fibonacci spiral. We saw this as a confirmation that we should continue with our experimentation. In September 1996 during a tour to South Africa, a South African man named Chris von Wechmar (chrisvw@new.co.za) gave me a music tape he had composed in the studio based on the Fibonacci sequence. (He had been inspired to produce it after attending my January '96 workshop in Cape Town, South Africa). He gave me permission to use the tape during fieldwork. Though I have used it during CTS exercises, I had no further instructions or inspirations for more extensive use. During the Yamanashi workshop, my intuitive sources finally instructed me on the first step for its use, stating that we (the human mass consciousness) was not ready to work with it until now. Combining the factors of the highly-trained group present in Japan, the sacred geometry of the pyramid retreat center, and the skills of the audio engineer present, we experimented with its use. The audio engineer arranged eight speakers to spiral up and around the inner walls of the pyramid to the top. His computerized equipment allowed the music to be played from two speakers at once that would spiral around the pyramid at specific intervals. We placed one individual in the top chamber of the pyramid (Yamai-san), seven in a circle on the second level which is equal to that of the King's Chamber in Egypt (myself, Kazumi (my interpreter), Yuki, Sachiko, Ikuo, Tsunemi, and one other woman. The remaining members (13, including the audio engineer) remained at the base in a circle. The music was played for 15 minutes on the first day, and 30 on the second day. The CTS/meditation was simple on the surface. It required that we sit in meditative posture and spiral our bodies in a clockwise rotation (thus creating a counter-clockwise field). It had three components: 1) Spiral the body in a clockwise rotation, 2) Breath deeply and rhythmically, and 3) Open the heart. We found that this process is akin to learning to ride a bicycle. It required patience to master. The experiences of the group during this exercise were profound to say the least and due to the language barrier, I was not able to learn of all of them. However, I will report two-- myself and my interpreter, Kazumi. Lyssa: During this meditation I found that once I achieved the rhythm, my consciousness altered in a very profound way. I shot out of my body and hovered outside of the pyramid. While floating there, I saw a huge geometrical form (either an icosahedron or dodecahedron, I suspect) and was told that I was seeing the geometrical representation of universal (or unity) consciousness. It then expanded and engulfed the pyramid. This was a tangible experience that shocked me so much that I was stunned when the exercise ended. I was also aware of a group of beings high above the pyramid (on a ship?) sitting in a circle connecting with our human group. Kazumi: For the sake of privacy I will only report the most significant factor. Kazumi reported that during this exercise she was able to attain a state of consciousness she has only been able to achieve while engaging in shamanic journeying through the use of sacred plants. (This leads us to suspect that the meditation is successful in helping the group to move into an unbounded mind state necessary to achieve the contact experience). FIELD EVENT - June 14, 1997 The group proceeded to a secluded spot at approximately 7:45pm on Saturday night 6/14/97. After settling ourselves we engaged in standard contact protocol using the red-green-blue technique. This technique led to a long remote viewing exercise. Several people (myself included) reported witnessing small lights (white or red) darting above the mountains and then moving below the peaks. There was no air traffic, not even at a distance. There was light cloud cover which proceeded to produce rain after our CTS was over. (This is a common occurrence -- weather changes after our CTS is completed.) We ended the event early due to the weather. Inside the pyramid, several members exchanged stories of their experiences. The majority of group members witnessed beings of the Zeta variety (or "gray") during the CTS and were surprised at the clarity of their perceptions. We thought this was the extent of the contact experiences until the next day. When the workshop resumed the following morning, a member offhandedly made a comment about when "Lyssa-san walked through the group the night before." I asked her to elaborate. She claimed that during the outdoor exercise, I had walked through the group, performing "energy work" on the group members. She said she heard my footsteps on the dirt and even felt me brush past her. Many group members nodded their head in agreement. They said it was so real that they didn't question my presence walking through the group. I asked for a show of hands to see how many had experienced this. At least ten raised their hands and agreed that their sense of me in the group was a real, 3D experience. I then revealed to the group that never at any time did I or my interpreter walk through the group, nor did any other group member stand up and move. They all remained seated. The look on their faces was incredulous, to say the least. It was at that moment that they realized contact had indeed been made. It was so normal and natural to them that they didn't even know it was happening! Role Play: One other event of significance is that in Day Two we usually perform a "role play" exercise in which I am the ET and a contact team must initiate a contact. During this event, one of the team members had an emotional breakdown while spontaneously remembering a missing time experience. Back then, she had no support system. Here, with the safety of the contact team, she realized she had a support system to help her. It was a tremendously healing experience for her. Overall, this weekend was a life-changing one for many who doubted their own abilities to make contact and to understand their contact experiences. The energy of the pyramid in combination with the Fibonacci technique created one of the most powerful workshop experiences and contact successes ever. However, this weekend reminded me of one thing I always try to remind my workshop participants: Contact does not always happen in the way you expect...so keep an open mind and heart...and hone your skills of perception beyond the five senses! --Lyssa Royal Holt
