Location: Outside of Yuma, Arizona (near Mexico border) Team Members: Lyssa Royal (coordinator), Stacey, Wayne Date: March 12, 1994 (second of two consecutive nights of field work) Status: High strangeness, possible fly by and CE-5 Note: During the two evenings of field research, events occurred very quickly and in high numbers. This field report is a summary of tape recorded documentation from the second night of field work. This was an exceptionally active night. Early on there were wispy clouds at the horizon, and no moon. More light phenomenon than possible to report. Members were kept so busy that they never engaged in opening CTS. Activity began before chairs were unloaded! To the northwest there is a high powered light flashing and searching the sky at random from the ground. We wondered if it was another CSETI group. We signaled. No response. Signaling continued at intermittent intervals. They never responded to us. Sometimes it seemed as if they changed locations. Northwest, light/star appeared out of nowhere, amber in color. Wayne and Stacey saw a white flash in front of it. This is not a planet, star, or airplane. No noise. We signaled it, and it vanished. Appeared again, held steady for ten minutes or more. Lyssa asked it out loud that if it was hearing us, to please move or flash its lights. It has begun to move to the left. Then held steady. We asked it to come closer and immediately it began moving again. Looking through binoculars, Stacey says it is not round. Lyssa feels very dizzy and her eyes feel like she was momentarily blinded by a light. All of a sudden it begins to move faster. Event holds high energy. Lyssa sends the message, "We want to have communication with you." The response she receives is, "We already are having communication with you!" Group requests closer contact. Light moves behind trees and continues on what looks to be the usual flight path, however its earlier behavior is dissimilar to the planes on that flight path, and seemed to respond to us. It had moved from northwest to southwest. Wayne saw it flash us. We respond in single bursts of light. Object responds to each flash we send. Speed of object changes. Object eventually disappears behind a ridge. We label this a definite "UFO" (Humor is meant in this statement). Lyssa puts out the request that if this is ETI, to please make their presence known this night physically. Wayne feels as if there is a light coming from the sky down onto him. He's felt this several times. Just before 9pm, Stacey and Lyssa were standing side by side facing southeast. Wayne was discussing marching in the military. He was speaking of focusing on the head in front of you to alter your consciousness so the time would pass quickly while marching. We were about to play "follow the leader" to simulate this consciousness-altering experience. Lyssa and Stacey simultaneously turned to the southwest (for an unknown reason) and the three witnessed a bright, large, opaque streak of light move from right to left. The best analogy is that it looked like the Enterprise as it goes into warp. Immediately the other unknown group on the ground followed the object with their high powered lights and appeared to signal it. Lyssa then saw another opaque streak of light move from left to right, and it was immediately followed by the high-powered lights on the ground. This was not a meteor, plane, or anything conventional. Stacey and Lyssa heard a sound (crop circle sound, possibly) shortly after the event transpired. To the southwest, there is a light on the ground (?) moving from right to left and back, drifting. It could be hovering or moving on the ground. Or is it someone walking with a high-powered flashlight? Very dreamlike. It appears to be getting closer to us. During this, Lyssa's tape recorder begins making a funny noise as if it is shorting out. We spent much time trying to discern this light. We concluded eventually that it was a house/ranch light which, through the trees, appeared to move. This conclusion was not supported after the event, for we drove around the area and could not find the source. During a remote view, Lyssa saw a ship on the ground to the south east. There were no lights. There were some humanoid-type beings engaged in mental work with us, working specifically with us through telepathy. As she came to this awareness, she opened her eyes and immediately saw a shooting star. 10:15pm. Strong activity ended about 10:15. The rest of the evening was calmer, although the wind picked up tremendously. We departed the site around midnight, and drove around looking for the site of the search lights we witnessed. The area is very remote. We found no indication of another group present in the area nor did we find any ranches or buildings which could explain the sources of the lights we witnessed. We contacted the San Diego and Los Angeles working groups (the closest groups to this location) to be sure they were not conducting field work that night. They were not. SUMMARY: Over two nights we witnessed an assorted variety of alleged shooting stars, unidentified lights, and related phenomenon. The climax of our outing was a bright and large streak of opaque light witnessed by the three of us to the southwest, followed by high-powered light work of another unidentified group. The best analogy for what we saw was the Enterprise (from Star Trek) going into warp. Later we confirmed that no other CSETI group was in the area and so this continues to remain a mystery. It is quite possible that we witnessed a fly by, since earlier in the evening Lyssa put out the request for them to show themselves physically in some way if they were hearing our communication. This was truly an evening of high strangeness. |
