Field Report of Double Night Event - Night #1

Note: Night #1 was spent near Yuma, Arizona. Night #2 was spent over the border in Mexico near the Gulf of California.

Date: February 17, 1995
Group Number: 8
Status: High Strangeness, Electrical disturbances
Location: Outside of Yuma, Arizona (near Mexican border)
Coordinator: Lyssa Royal

Participants: Lyssa Royal (coordinator), Wayne, Stacey, Keith, Michael, and from Santa Fe: Joanie, Alma, Trudy. Conditions: 50s-60s, low clouds to the south, waning moon

PRE-EVENT:
The evening before we left for Yuma, I was awakened at exactly 5am by a phone call from a woman who I know to have schizophrenic tendencies. Her call made no sense, but the only words she kept repeating were "Ashtar Command Central". Strange events such as this often preceed our field work, so it seemed as if things were right on schedule.

Before leaving for this event, several interesting things occurred, echoing Sasha's statements of "Electrical disturbances can be signposts of contact." Keith's electrical system on his truck blew; Michael and Wayne noticed repeatedly that streetlights would blow as they passed them. As we got to the hotel in Yuma, Alma's video camera malfunctioned. After dinner as we were
returning to the hotel to go to the site, Wayne, Lyssa and Stacey were riding in Wayne's truck. As they turned into the hotel driveway, Wayne's engine died. We all commented that maybe contact was going to happen because of the engine/electrical disturbances. Within 5 minutes after that comment, as we got to our rooms, the entire block upon which the hotel was situated
had a black out. No crafts were seen in the sky, but all felt it was in direct correlation to the work we were doing in Yuma. The blackout happened at approximately 9:00pm MST and lasted for about 30 minutes. There was a high level of excitement after this blackout event, with all group members feeling strongly it was a contact experience of some sort.

EVENT: We spent much time this night talking about Sasha's concept of signature behavior during contact and we noticed that all group members were engaging in the exact opposite of their signature behavior -- those normally alert were spacy and sleepy. Those normally quiet were active and focused. On an interpersonal level, this weekend's events seemed to be focused on integrating our opposite selves.

During CTS (Coherent Thought Sequencing), Lyssa was taking the group to a place in the universe that had a brilliant white plasmic light. As she was describing this light, she had her eyes open. At the southern horizon, suddenly a white light appeared, about 15-degrees above the southern horizon and grew to a brightness stronger than Sirius. It quickly went out while Lyssa
was struggling to get out of her sleeping bag to signal it. No other witnesses to this event.
