The
Phoenix contact research group operated from 1994 through
1997. Here are some notes from our research:
The Phoenix
working group is devoted to exploring and understanding (as
well as experiencing) contact with extraterrestrial intelligences
who may not adhere to our laws of reality. Because of this,
we use various experimental protocol using light, sound, and
thought to reach out to nonhuman intelligences. If we as a
species do nothing to begin forming a peaceful and nonmilitaristic
relationship with visitors from the stars, then it is possible
others in our society may lead the way using violence, manipulation,
and fear which would affect our relationships with these intelligences
infinitely into the future.
We encourage groups around the world to take the initiative
in contact and send a message of species unity (as well as
human self-responsibility and empowerment) to our galactic
visitors. Our methods are controversial to those who revere
the traditional, linear, and limited research modalities.
However, they achieve results. We seek not to prove, but to
experience. With this having been said, our findings and field
experiences are not meant to challenge "accepted"
modes of research, but instead to expand the boundaries of
thought and consciousness whereby the human potential can
be approached. There is plenty of room for a myriad of research
modalities. Together, we will find answers. However those
answers will not come if we expend energy attempting to invalidate
the research of another.
The original Phoenix, Arizona CSETI working group was founded
in January 1994 by coordinator Lyssa Royal Holt. The previous
Phoenix Working Group was somewhat inactive. Lyssa brought
in many new members as well as incorporated old members into
the new group. At its height of activity, we had a pool of
about 18 people from which we usually had about 5-8 members
during a given field event.
Because Lyssa Royal Holt conducts her own independent research
into extraterrestrial contact and has written several books
on the subject (most notably the book Preparing for Contact),
the Phoenix Team has incorporated many independent research
protocols based on Lyssa's work which is inspired by her channeled
material. Though CSETI supported these independent research
protocols and encourages Lyssa's research, they are not officially
endorsed by CSETI or any of its offices.
During the 3 years that the Phoenix Team was operating, they
were fortunate to conduct research in both Northern and Southern
Arizona as well as outside of Phoenix, in Mexico, California,
and New Mexico. Many of their field reports documenting anomalous
events appear following this brief introduction, including
those of a series of repeating CE-5s which occurred in 1994
up to the present day.
Because the Phoenix Team #1 uses various experimental protocol
based on Lyssa's research, we have developed an additional
vocabulary used to discuss various aspects of our research.
This vocabulary is used in addition to the standard CSETI
protocol vocabulary and is outlined below. (Some of this is
used in the book Preparing for Contact).
Brain Wave States/Theta, Delta, Alpha,
Beta - We have found that an understanding of brain
wave states is essential to contact work, because contact
is influenced by the human brain wave states. Beta is the
waking state we call "conscious"; Alpha is the light
meditative state or daydream state; Delta is the sleep state;
and Theta is the deep meditative, hypnogogic state in which
most of our contacts occur. The experiences we have in theta
most often do not carry over into beta, and thus contact memories
are very difficult to obtain without intense training. Theta
contacts are as "real" as beta ones, however the
ego does not validate them.
The Common Ground - This
term is used to refer to the place at which human and extraterrestrial
intelligence can meet. It is a "place" that incorporates
qualities from both the human and ETI realities, which requires
a shift in consciousness for both parties, and thus a mutual
cooperative effort.
The Contact Medium - This
term relates to the inherent energy of a contact experience,
the "soup" if you will, in which the contact takes
place. It is the result that is achieved when the team and
the ETI move to the Common Ground. Together they create the
Contact Medium.
Contact Team - We have
been made aware that there is a specific extraterrestrial
intelligence who guides our "training" as ambassadors
when we are out in the field. This being calls herself "Sasha"
and is the primary intelligence channeled by Lyssa Royal Holt
in her research and published books. Sasha orchestrates a
"contact team" -- a group of extraterrestrial intelligences
working with her to reach out to the Earth contact team (the
working group). The presence of these beings has been validated
time and time again through various specific and exceptional
events.
The Ego, or the King -
In contact research, the Ego or the King is the part of the
human consciousness that censors or reinterprets anomalous
experiences into the mundane or every day translations. The
ego/king has the responsibility of making sense of phenomena
that would usually be categorized as anomalous. For instance,
when we inexplicably "forget" or trivialize an anomalous
event, it is due to the interference of the ego/king, who
must maintain the status quo of reality at all costs. The
ego/king is also responsible for convincing the self that
spacecraft are really strange-looking airplanes, extraterrestrials
are really owls, and so forth. The ego/king is most often
the initiator of Signature Behavior (see below) which is an
attempt to distract the person away from anomalous phenomena
and thus the breakdown of accepted reality paradigms.
Fibonacci Sequence - The
Fibonacci sequence is a mathematical series of progressive
numbers beginning at a fixed point. The sequence is as follows:
0 1 1 2 3 5 8 13 21.... Sasha has strongly suggested the use
of the fibonacci sequence in contact protocol, stating that
the use of it not only alters the human consciousness, but
it also produces a direct, universal communication to ETI.
The fibonacci sequence is used so far in light signaling,
repetitive movements, and sound/music.
Red-Green-Blue Exercise
- See Thought-Emotion-Intent Exercise, below.
Sasha - Sasha (who claims
to be a female from the Pleiades) is the primary extraterrestrial
intelligence (channeled by Lyssa) with whom the Phoenix Team
works. Sasha has guided the team since the first event, outlining
events to come in the contact research (which were validated).
She has also given the team valuable information on the nature
of consciousness and contact,
contact methodologies, and the future of contact research.
Sasha is the coordinator of the extraterrestrial contact team
with whom the Phoenix Team is linked.
Signature Behavior - We
have found that when a team (or an individual) is engaged
in a contact experience, the ego begins to display a (set
of) consistent behavior(s) unique to each person. Part of
our aim is to help each team member identify their unique
signature behavior which ultimately helps the individual understand
(through looking at cues in their unusual behavior) when a
contact experience is imminent. Since contact experiences
are often vague and subtle, behavioral cues are invaluable
in understanding the approach of the contact experience. This
allows the individual or team to remain "conscious"
of the contact, hopefully helping us bridge the gap between
the contact reality and what we consider to be our daily,
waking reality. Examples of signature behaviors include: Giddiness,
Spaciness, Sleepiness, Nausea, Hyperactivity, Extreme Mental
Focus, Mental Confusion, and more. Team members have permission
to point out to other team members when they begin engaging
in signature behavior which serves as a way to keep the team
bonded and conscious of the contact experience.
Thought-Emotion-Intent (T-E-I) Exercise
- This technique was given by Sasha in early 1994 and directly
resulted in the group's first CE-5 experience. (See field
report for 4/16/94). It is based on the use of colored gels
over the high-powered lights in the shades of red, green,
and blue. These colors (along with white light) are flashed
in a specific sequence (based on three sets of three) and
affect the three aspects of the human needing to be addressed
when dealing with a contact experience: Thoughts (blue), Emotions
(green), and Intents (red). Sasha claims these three aspects
must be integrated for a full contact experience to occur
and be remembered and integrated into the Whole being.
Note: For privacy reasons,
the names of working group members have been shortened, or
first names are only used in the following field reports.
For inquiries about CSETI, please contact the national office
by viewing their web site at www.cseti.org.
If you wish to inquire about more of our experimental techniques,
you may write to Lyssa at the above snail mail address. A
video training guide is available which is not an official
CSETI training guide, but which includes the Thought-Emotion-Intent
exercise outlined above.
At the present time, Lyssa has trained field teams in Japan,
South Africa, Australia, Germany, Mexico, and around the USA,
all of whom are operating independently of any organization
and/or are also affiliated with CSETI. These teams are not
all active at this time. Lyssa lives in Phoenix with her husband
Ronald Holt and conducts field research in Arizona and around
the world.
