Meditation and the Art of Merging
A Prelude to Rediscovering the Golden Liquid Light |
|
By Ronald L. Holt September, 1998 One of our latent human potentials that can be developed through meditation is our ability to merge our awareness and feelings with all things. This can be a rather daunting aspiration. To begin to understand and utilize this potential to the fullest we would have to take simpler and more easily attainable steps. The exercises below can enable us to easily access our ability to merge when it is practiced and refined from the most basic levels. Prior to merging our awareness and feelings with all things, one of the first steps is to refine an ability to extend our awareness and feelings beyond ourselves. Developing this talent will directly enrich our ability to detach from the confines of the mind, body, and 3D consciousness and merge aspects of our awareness and feelings with a chosen object or simple life form in the world around us. When we can successfully integrate our feelings and awareness with one object (or simple life form) outside of ourselves -- thus merging with it -- we can then extend our exercises to include two or more objects with which to merge until we eventually reach the ability to include an infinite number of intimate connections with the world around us. The ability to extend our awareness and deep feeling states into any number of objects (or beings) outside of us is a preparatory stage for building a 4D paradigm. The 4D paradigm is the medium that induces merging. Building a 4D paradigm requires a number of building-block stages that need to be successfully implemented and then managed. To participate within a 4D paradigm (and remain within it) for consistent periods of time would require an understanding of the requirements of 4D and a talent for creating the necessary internal environment for it to thrive. Once the 4D state is activated, one will then quickly learn what states of being disconnect us from the newly-created paradigm. Successfully managing the 4D building blocks will aid in generating a number of firsthand 4D experiences that will help you understand the essential components that enrich the 4D experience and what makes it fade away. These short term experiences (in the beginning stages) will give way to longer exposure as your understanding and skills improve. In time, one will become adept at these early preparatory steps as they are practiced. Becoming adept at the beginning steps enables one to go a little beyond the initiatory exercises. In time, Spirit will bring an experience to the student that involves all the practice exercises with an addition of an actual experience (of the next stage) so the student will have a view of the next step. In my own experience, I had several teachers and guides who had me start on quite a few basic exercises for developing the building block stages. Often, I felt silly doing what my guides recommended. I did not know the purpose of these exercises. I was just told to do them. I found that as I grew in proficiency with these simple exercises, I would then have an amazing experience that would put the previous preparatory exercises into perspective. In time I realized that clues for the forthcoming lessons were positioned within my recent amazing experience. When I began practicing these new steps, my instructors would return to further my training. When I became sufficiently adept at extending my awareness and deep feelings beyond myself it then led to the next stage of merging with other objects and beings such as animals, rivers, mountains, and then other people. After some practice, I found I could do this efficiently. This then led to a most rewarding experience of what I call the golden liquid light. The golden liquid light gave me the ability to merge so completely that profound doorways began to open within my heart and mind. Let me explain through this story. Merging and the Way of the Dolphin In 1989 I was part of a women's group in Oahu, Hawaii as the token male member. In that group there was a woman who was afraid of the ocean. One day, we were told about some wild dolphins that swim very close to shore and on a good day people could swim with them. We all were excited about this and decided to go the next morning. The next morning, there were about 8 of us including the woman who was afraid of the ocean. When we arrived at the beach the dolphins could be seen swimming, jumping, and spinning rather close to shore. Ecstatic emotions were felt by everyone. I looked at the woman who was afraid of the ocean and saw her smiling and stripping down to her bathing suit while looking at the dolphins. It seemed as though we were all rushing to be the first one in to swim with them. As I got closer to the shoreline I had my mask, fins, and snorkel in hand and turned to get a glimpse of the woman who was afraid of the ocean. To my surprise, she was about to enter the water with a boogie board! By this time we were laughing uncontrollably. This sounds crazy, but it seemed as if the dolphins were tickling us from our insides. It seemed as if every inch of my insides was somehow being tickled. I have never felt anything quite like the total love and ecstatic joy of that morning. I entered the water and swam out to the dolphins laughing all the way. I poked my head up out of the water to look for the woman afraid of the ocean. She was now on a boogie board with a smile from ear to ear, kicking madly to get closer to the dolphins. I thought to myself, "She got over that pretty quickly!" Just as my stomach was beginning to hurt from all that laughter, something shifted dramatically. I began to cry uncontrollably. I remember saying to myself at that point, "What's going on?" Now there were images in my head of dolphins being hauled up on fishing boats or trapped in fishing nets and dying. I could see images of the uncaptured dolphins gazing at the tragedy from nearby. I cried even more. A moment ago, I was being tickled from the inside out. Now I couldn't escape being overwhelmed by what seemed like the sadness and grief of the dolphins. It was flooding every part of me. It was then that I heard a voice talking to me in my mind. I thought this was very strange, but I was even more curious about what it was saying. I recognized the "voice" as being that of a dolphin. The dolphin was saying that it was sorry for ending the joy and laughter and shocking me with such scenes of grief. It said, "Please understand, just as we dolphins are able to stimulate such healing and joy within you, so can you stimulate such healing and joy within us. Being open and caring enough to allow the story of our pain and grief to be fully experienced by you enables us to share our pain with you. By really hearing and understanding what we are conveying, it allows us to shed our pain and heal a little more." The "voice" continued, "This is a great gift to us. Just as you have felt the gift of our care and love for you and your species, many things can be healed and shared when two hearts are open to sharing with each other. Our species shares intimately and completely with each other by opening our hearts so completely to each other that we can enter into the sanctuary within each other's heart and reside there. When we do this we are quickly healed." What happened next was beyond what I have ever experienced in my life. I began to feel the emotions of grief dispel and replacing it was a torrent of love filling every cell. When I was filled, I could still feel changes going on inside me. My heart began to glow and the glow began to turn golden and liquid-like. I knew the dolphins were aiding in this process and I was feeling so humbled. The dolphin spoke to me about opening my heart even more to the dolphins all around me. As I opened wider I could feel the heart of a dolphin glowing with the same loving golden liquid essence. Our hearts seemed to lock in unison and we began taking turns breathing the liquid light back and forth to each other. Each time the dolphin sent the liquid light from his heart I found that I could amplify it by opening my heart a little more and pouring my joy and ecstasy into it. I would inhale it into the core of my heart just before sending it back again to the dolphin. It felt like our hearts were getting fuller and brighter with each breath we shared. At one point the brightness of the golden liquid light was nearly as bright as the sun. Upon reaching that level of brightness, it exposed what seemed like a doorway in the dolphin's heart. The brightness then seemed to dissipate and give way to a profound calmness and clarity. At the point of seeing the doorway in the dolphin's heart, the dolphin succinctly said to me, "Walk through it." As I walked through the doorway, I was perplexed. My mind raced between thoughts of disbelief (because I knew I was in the water with my mask, fins, and snorkel) and savoring the complete experience of walking through the doorway in a dolphin's heart, which seemed just as real as physically being in the water. As I began to step into the doorway, I placed my head through and was struck breathless by the beauty of experiencing what was beyond the doorway. As I looked around me I saw an open expanse. I saw the indescribable beauty of our solar system and the galaxy setting behind that. What moved me even more was the indescribable feeling of being so intimately a part of the planets and space I was viewing. Yet, at the same moment, I was acutely aware of the dolphin who was talking to me. That dolphin was swimming through the doorway of my own heart as well as being in the ocean with my friends. The voice of the dolphin shook me out of my reverie by saying, "This is what we mean by being able to heal quickly when we intimately share and reside in each other's heart. Dolphins do this with each other every possible moment. We have found that whenever two or more hearts share the open door and experience what lies beyond it, the universe grows in dimension, size, and perspective. Each being is a fragment or puzzle piece. Together, we all make up the whole of the cosmos. When we share our intimate and unique perspective of the cosmos with other hearts in reverence and humility, we plug back in to the cosmos. This enriches all life as well as the individual soul. Dolphins have found that we can share this between other species and ourselves. Dolphins and whales share this gift between each other and the heavens grew from our willingness to intimately share our own universes with each other. Humans can also heal and grow by sharing the open doorway with each other. We are waiting for the opportunity to share our hearts and all we have learned with you and your species. Thank you for being brave enough and willing to walk within our hearts." This story is a culmination experience that exhibits many preparatory 4D building block stages that I had struggled to refine. These stages were successfully learned, enabling there to be a bridge of communication built between humans and another species or level of consciousness. This is an example of bilocation of consciousness -- the extension of awareness and feelings from one paradigm to another simultaneously. It occurred during a live interaction with physical beings swimming about in the Pacific Ocean. For the gifted or the lucky, the mere mention of these extraordinary human potentials is enough of a guide to allow the person to successfully access alternate reality paradigms. For others like myself, the gifts of human potential exist slightly out of reach. This required me to work hard in order to reach these potentials of spirit. For that reason, I will list some exercises that I have used with success. Please remember that it took years for me to refine these exercises so that they could become second nature. Now, when I am faced with spiritual stimuli, I can activate the necessary internal centers to integrate and manage these extraordinary events. I no longer have to think about each preparatory step in order to experience the event to its fullest potential. Many times, I got bored with whatever exercises I was practicing. Sometimes, it felt like I had no guidance and I did not know what to do next. This forced me to become inventive, observant, and creative with what I could do inside my meditations. I used whatever tools that were available. Try not to get discouraged. Just keep practicing. There are five stages that empower the 4D reality and lead to accessing the golden liquid light. When these five stages are effectively practiced, they lead to a deepened ability to sustain 4D experiences including a merging with the golden liquid light states. These five stages are: 1) Extending Your Awareness and Feeling-Sense Outside of Yourself 2) Merging Your Awareness and Feeling-Sense with a Target Object 3) Detachment 4) Surrender 5) Increasing Your Ability to Merge through the Heart Stage 1: Meditation Exercises Extending Your Awareness and Feeling-Sense Outside of Yourself A. Empty the Tea Cup B. Choose a Target Object C. Observe and Document the Target Object D. Peripheral Viewing E. Sensing the Target Object with Your Feeling-Sense F. Create a List of Sensings from the Target Object A. Empty the Tea Cup Be sure to empty your "tea cup" when you begin this exercise. This comes from an ancient oriental story in which a student wanted to learn from an old master. When the student was granted an audience with the master, the master invited the student for some tea. As the student was seated, he began telling the master all of the wise things he had learned. The student kept talking on and on. After listening for some time, the master began pouring tea into the student's cup. The master continued to pour even when the tea spilled over the sides of the cup. At this point the student exclaimed, "Master, you are spilling the tea." The master replied, "I cannot pour anything more into a cup that is already full." Like the tea cup, you must empty yourself of all preconceptions, preconditions, or presumptions before you can learn anything more. B. Choose a Target object In the beginning stages, the ability to include other beings, objects, or levels of consciousness within your own awareness starts by having developed some critical preparatory talents. One such talent is the ability to merge with just one given object in meditation. Learning to merge can be easy for some people and difficult for others. Merging is the ability to extend one's awareness and feeling-sense into an animate or inanimate object. This enables the observer and object to close the distance of separation (like creating a bridge of feelings) through the use of one's internal human potentials without physically moving or touching. Learning to merge with other beings can begin with learning to merge with simple objects. One way o learn this ability is by using a target object into which you can extend your focus, feelings-sense, and awareness. The target object can be anything, but it is recommended that you use simple objects such as a candle flame, rock, tree, or plant in the beginning stages. C. Observe and Document the Target Object The next step is to obtain an overall sense and awareness of the target object. This can be initiated by observing and documenting all conceivable characteristics of the object. In the beginning stages, use a pen and paper to document as much as you can. As you develop this skill you can move from taking physical notes to taking mental notes. Listing all the observable characteristics for the target object is an action that, in effect, allows the mind to purge its preoccupation with collecting and dispensing mental details. This activity purges preconceptions and some mental chatter. In effect, this is like emptying your tea cup. Taking notes also develops your powers of observation. D. Peripheral Viewing The Peripheral Viewing Exercise is a process designed to aid in achieving low-level alpha consciousness that leads to intuitive and meditative states. This can be accomplished rather easily by sitting comfortably in a quiet secluded area or an area with a great vista. Choose an object in your viewing area that will be stationary. It can be near you or far away, as long as it does not obscure much of the viewing area. With your head motionless and your eyes focused on the fixed object, begin to relax all your muscles and breathe more slowly and deeply than usual. Stretch your arms out to your sides until they are straight and horizontal to the ground. With your eyes still focused on the fixed object, move your arms slowly forwards or backwards until you can just barely see the tips of your fingers in your peripheral vision. This is the boundary of peripheral vision. The peripheral vision extends above, below, and to the sides of the object you are directly viewing. Put your arms down. With your eyes still fixed on the target object, observe the whole viewing area of the peripheral vision (above, below, and to the sides) simultaneously without moving your eyes from the target object. Note how that feels. Next, place approximately 60% of your attention on the target object while simultaneously placing 40% of your attention in your periphery. Do this for 5 minutes. Once you feel comfortable with this, reverse the percentage. Now place only 40% of your attention on the target object and 60% of your attention on the periphery. Remain in this state until you feel the internal chatter stop. Closely observe every nuance in your feeling-senses. Remain in this exercise until you can successfully focus 100% of your attention to the peripheral vision. Document what happens inside of you. E. Sensing the Target Object with Your Feeling-Sense When you have completed your list of observed characteristics of the target object, begin to quiet the mind and deepen your rhythmic breathing. Next, begin the peripheral viewing exercise using the target object as the focal point just as you did in the previous step. This allows you to stop the mental chatter and slip into an alpha state of awareness, moving one step closer to a state of heightened receptivity. As one enters and explores this heightened state of receptivity, one begins to access the intuitive plane. While interacting with this intuitive plane, begin to observe and probe the target object and list any additional characteristics hat you sense. While accessing the intuitive plane communications or understandings often come in the form of inspirations, visions, or powerful moments of clarity in understanding. Your feeling-sense can be projected into any object or entity by focusing your intent. The heart has billions of fibers or tendrils like "feeling sensors" that extend at will to any length. These are navigated through your intention. Extend your feeling-sense toward the target object. Can you feel the object without physically touching it? List all of what you can sense about the target object. F. Create a List of Sensings from the Target Object Creating a list of the characteristics you can sense from the target object enables you to explore it, delineate its boundaries, and validate your intuition which, in turn, further constructs your inner landscape. This exercise helps you to fine-tune your internal sensor or "radio receiver". This is like hearing for the first time that there are radio waves existing all around us and then building a radio receiver and transmitter so we can interact with those radio frequencies that are just outside of our 3D senses. Performing the exercise of extending our feeling-sense beyond ourselves and into the target object is the first step in experimenting with our ability to "tune" to the frequency of our target object. Tuning is a fine art in itself and requires considerable refinement. Meditation Exercises for Stage #2 Merging Your Feeling-Sense with the Target Object A. Extending More Feeling-Sense into the Target Object B. Collecting Additional Target Object Characteristics C. Merging with Additional Target Objects D. Merging with More Complex Target Objects A. Extending More Feeling-Sense into the Target Object The next step is to extend even more of our feeling-sense into the target object until we can sense nearly the entire object in its animate or inanimate state. Sensing and feeling the entire target object is, in essence, a version of becoming the target object. Becoming the object is called merging. Merging with any given object takes a little practice. To aid in this process we need to build the "radio receiver" for the exercise. Simply put, we need to prepare the inner landscape for sensing and receiving all the characteristics and frequencies of the target object. This gives us the ability to merge little by little with the target object until we become one with it. B. Collecting Additional Target Object Characteristics Begin by imagining what it would feel like to be the target object. Below are some sample questions you may ask yourself as you merge with the object. Allow yourself to get more involved and present with each of the questions. Without physically touching the target object, ask yourself these questions and sense the answers to them: 1) What do the external characteristics feel like? 2) What do the physical dimensions feel like? 3) What does its range of physical movement feel like? 4) Does it have a gender? 5) Does it have a personality? 6) What do its emotions feel like? 7) What are its likes and dislikes? 8) What does it feel in various weather conditions like rain, hot sun, or cold winter? 9) What is its favorite season? 10) Does it have any thoughts it wants to share? These questions are designed to aid the process of developing a more intimate rapport with the target object and take you further outside of yourself so you can project your feeling-senses into the target object. This enhances your ability to merge with more of the target object so it feels like an extension of yourself. The more you identify with target object, the more you become it. The more you feel as if you are becoming the target object, the more complete the merge becomes. C. Merging with Additional Target Objects Continue merging with your original target object until you feel confident with your ability to merge completely. When you are comfortable merging with the target object for 1-1½ hours, you have succeeded. At that point, move on to a completely different target object. If you used a candle flame as your first target object then move on to an object such as a rock or tree. D. Merging with More Complex Target Objects After mastering the ability to merge with several simple animate or inanimate objects, practice merging with more complex structures and life forms such as animals, mountains, rivers, the sun, the moon, clouds, wind, etc. Your ability to meditate and merge with simple forms and then more complex ones will build a larger inner landscape within you. It will refine your ability to receive a wide scope of target objects. The goal is to eventually be able to tune into any frequency or target object. By practicing the art of merging with elements such as fire, water, clouds, lightening/electricity, and higher frequencies it will enhance your spectrum of reception. Meditation and Exercises for Stage #3 Detachment 1. Mastering the Constant Mental Chatter 2. Achieving Detachment 3. Exercises for Learning Detachment: (Basic Detachment Exercises) 1. Mastering the Constant Mental Chatter The constant mental chatter that we all experience is a state of mind dominated by the ego that seeks to categorize and organize the data gathered by our senses. This includes: 1) Labeling, describing, or judging objects, 2) Focusing on situations or events that we cannot release, and 3) Mentally evaluating our behavior and the behavior of others. This often creates a situation where we seem to cycle through the same thoughts, ideas, events or situations, creating a mental merry-go-round. When we occupy our minds with so many tasks and priorities for extended periods of time, the mind becomes cloudy and murky. When we take a moment to stop the mind's constant mental chatter, it reverts to a state of quiet calmness or inactivity. When our mind is calm, it is an ideal state for receptivity, clarity, and reflection. When we recognize the moment during which we achieve this mentally quiet state and how we ventured into it, the state can be refined into one of heightened receptivity that becomes more familiar and easier to access. When we take steps to calm and clear the mind, we have created a time during which the higher self and the higher planes are allowed to manifest through us. This gives us the gifts of rejuvenation, inspiration, vision, clarity, and healing, which come from giving ourselves some quiet time within the calm of spirit. When we take time to accomplish this state, the mind and emotions become fully recharged. When we stop the merry-go-round of mental chatter we begin to develop the art of detachment. This requires practice in order to become adept. We become adept when we become so familiar with the feeling mental clarity that we can achieve it at will. 2. Detachment The experience of merging gives us a glimpse of another rare and unique gift ¾ the ephemeral gift of detachment. We have to release our unconscious habit of clinging to our ideas about who and what we think we are in order to be sufficiently receptive and capable of merging with a target object. Like the teacup, we must first be empty before we can be filled with something new. We must detach, empty, and let go of our own self image so we can be receptive enough to fully merge with a target object. Each time a successful merge takes place between meditator and target object, a form of detachment has occurred. As it becomes easier to detach, your ability to merge and become the target object increases. Detachment is another fine art that needs constant refinement because we live in a body with an ego. The ego's nature is to grasp and cling. The detached state is a critical element of refining and experiencing the finer states of consciousness. Refining the ability to detach can be practiced by using some simple exercises. These exercises include: A. Walking on Rocks B. Chanting or Repetitive Prayers C. Meditation D. Peripheral Viewing 3. Exercises for Learning Detachment: (Basic Detachment Exercises) A. Walking on Rocks One of the fastest and simplest ways to quiet the mind is through an ancient indigenous practice. However, it can be dangerous, as it requires a fair amount of agility. In this practice, you will graduate from walking in an unbroken pace to a slow run (when you are ready) on top of a field of large rocks. While you walk on the rocks, you will notice that the mind will insist on telling you where to place each of your steps one-by-one. Your mind will continue to do this for a time until it becomes tired. At the point of mental fatigue, you will begin to recognize that placing your steps in the right place does not require mental direction. At this point, the mind will relinquish its insistence on controlling your every move. This is the turning point of the mental merry-go-round. Take time to remain in this state and familiarize yourself with it. Also, repeat this process often in order to familiarize yourself with the sensations you feel at this turning point. Practice this often, and you will soon be very familiar with the place within you where the mental merry-go-round no longer exists. B. Chanting or Repetitive Prayers This process creates the same detachment as the first exercise, but it takes a little bit more time and practice. To do this effectively, the individual must use a deep degree of sincerity and intention. Take a chant or prayer (or a series of them) and repeat it while staying mentally and emotionally focused on the meaning of the prayer. Within approximately 20-30 minutes (sometimes longer), you will begin to feel a release of the mind's grip on the mental-merry-go-round and the pull of the mental priority list. As in the first exercise, take time to remain in this state and familiarize yourself with it. Also, repeat this process often in order to familiarize yourself with the turning point. If you practice often, you will soon be very familiar with the place within you where the mental merry-go-round no longer exists. Important Note: Exercise #2 and #3 require a fair degree of discipline and determination. When trying to stop the merry-go-round, a flood of resistance from your ego may occur that makes it difficult to relinquish control. It may try to affect your thoughts and emotions to the point that it convinces you that there is no good reason to continue. This is where most students give up. If you have spent a lot of time energizing the merry-go-round in the past, you have built up a momentum of chaotic energy. It takes time to neutralize or transmute this energy into a finer quality. Neutralizing this chaotic energy creates an additional challenge. If you have created chaotic energy (which is usually your unrecognized angst), you will be used to having a particular level of anxiety in your life that you have used for motivation. When this angst or chaos is gone, you will feel drained and begin trying to recreate the familiar chaotic energy. Eventually, when you recognize what you are doing and own the process, your spirit will help you to create and replace the old energy of chaos with an energy that is healing and balanced. C. Meditation Learning to stop the mental merry-go-round will enhance your ability to meditate. Without being able to stop the mental merry-go-round, meditation can be slower than the above exercises but works just as well. There are many forms of meditation and they require the practitioner to adhere to the particular guidelines of the chosen form for any results. As you quiet your mind and emotions inside your meditation, your access to the heart becomes easier. This will take you deeper into the higher frequencies. It is in this place that communication with the higher self becomes the most accessible and clear. As you reach this open and vulnerable state (when all else is still and quiet inside you) the messages that suddenly settle into your awareness that inspire, heal, inform, or warn you in a loving manner are generally speaking from the higher self or your guides/guardians. D. Peripheral Viewing The Peripheral Viewing exercise that was described previously under Meditation Exercises for Stage 1 is also appropriate here as well. This exercise will also assist you in achieving the detached state and releasing the mental merry-go-round. A Story on Decreeing and Detachment In 1982, I began to work with a form of chanted prayer called decreeing. Decreeing, in this case, involved saying prayers designed to invoke sacred cosmic fire. Sacred cosmic fire is a powerful form of higher frequency that acts effectively as a cleansing healing agent on lower condensed thought and emotional energy forms. I learned a valuable form of detachment through the disciplined and consistent use of this sacred fire in combination with the decreeing. At the time, I was not very sensitive to higher frequencies, but I was trying. I was in a time of my life when I felt as if I was in the bottom of a barrel. I felt I had made a mess of my life as well as myself, and my world was crashing down all around me. I was in my early twenties and every day felt like I was immersed in the dark sludge of painful emotional chaos. I desperately desired a way out. I was on my knees for help. At one point I was crying and praying. A dream occurred a few nights later. In that dream, a beautiful woman who looked very familiar walked up to me and smiled. She said, "As soon as you can accept it, you are to join the Galactic Council." I asked her, "What the heck is the Galactic Council?" She wouldn't reply. So I asked her, "Where then can I find this Galactic Council?" She smiled as she looked at me (as if my asking pleased her some how) and said, "In Echo Canyon." After answering, she walked away. The dream ended as she was walking away. I kept this to myself for about a week because I couldn't think of anyone with whom I could share it. I was dying to know what a "Galactic Council" was, and whether or not there was anything real to this dream. At the end of the week, I had a conversation with a friend at work. This friend had a spiritual background and she was also very sincere. The conversation turned to a topic that was perfect for divulging my dream. Upon finishing the story of the dream I asked her if she knew what the Galactic Council was. She said that she never heard of it, but her husband (who has more experienced in this area due to his tribal heritage) may be able to answer it. She invited me over for dinner so we could all get together. The night of the dinner I relayed most of my story to her husband Henry, with the exception of the "Echo Canyon" part. I then asked him about the Galactic Council. Henry looked at me for what seemed like an eternity before answering. He said that the Galactic Council was just another name for the Great White Brotherhood. I thought, "Great, Henry! That does me a lot of good, what the heck is the Great White Brotherhood?" What came out of his mouth in the next few moments floored me. I must have looked pretty funny staring at him with my eyes and my mouth wide open. When Henry spoke, he spoke softly and respectfully but with a power I had not experienced before. His voice and words caused the tunnel-vision view of what little I knew of the world to come crashing down. While standing in the dust from the falling rubble of my former concrete belief systems, a vast cosmos began to replace the little sky of simple beliefs I had lived under for so long. Henry said that the Galactic Council or the Great White Brotherhood is a consortium throughout the galaxy of highly evolved and experienced beings. These beings have, through their wisdom of experiencing all aspects of the physical plane, sufficiently mastered themselves so they could freely move about the many dimensions and planes of human potential or realities. Upon becoming masters, these beings usually choose to occupy (but were not limited to) the finer frequencies or higher octaves just beyond our physical sight but well within our ability to feel. These beings are dedicated to the upliftment and evolution of sentient beings wherever they manifest. They exist in and around every planet wherever there is conscious life. Their numbers by far exceed that of Earth's current human population because they have been around and continue to aid in the evolution of countless billions of beings across the cosmos since the dawn of time. When Henry finished, all I could say was a muted, "Oh!" I began to feel quite sheltered and ignorant. Before my ignorance shrank me and swallowed me inside my failing self-confidence, I asked Henry if there were any way to learn more about this, or if anyone teaches about this. Henry replied, "Yes. There is an old Frenchman who teaches about this. He is an old friend of mine." He said that he had sent a number of people up to see him. "The Frenchman never locks his gate. However, a number of people I have sent reported that when they went to his house, the gate was locked. If you are ready for this, the gate will be open." I asked Henry where the Frenchman lived. His reply left me awestruck. Henry said, "Echo Canyon." This was same answer the woman gave me in my dream! I was in shock. I found myself in the Frenchman's house a week later. He maintained a working group that met twice a week. I went every opportunity I possibly could. I listened intently to whatever he was teaching and put in long hours practicing the decrees for sacred fire. He taught us that when we use focused thought, emotion, and verbal commands when directing the sacred fire, it moves within and around us and acts to break up and cleanse condensed energy held within. He said that it works even if we cannot feel anything. The more we use the sacred fire, the more results we would achieve. I took this seriously and would use it daily for 4-6 hours. I paid close attention to my feelings and I noticed that when I would begin to start the sacred fire decrees while at home, I would experience a wall of anxiety. So many issues emerged to try to stop or distract me from taking time to heal and clear myself. I quickly became my own worst enemy. I noticed that this anxiety ceased as soon as I got close to the Frenchman's house and the whole time I was there. I had always felt so good at the Frenchman's house, as if his house was on a very positive energy vortex. I had attributed this to all the sacred fire work that goes on there. This made me even more determined to continue. After about two months of constant practice, I began to see results. One day, after using the sacred fire for a couple of hours at home, I began to notice a lighter, more positive and loving energy in my feelings. This was an incredible breakthrough because, at that time, I was drowning in the sludge of my own darkened mental and emotional chaos. I felt like I was getting somewhere! Only a few days later I found that it was taking me less time decreeing to begin to feel the sacred fire around me. I noticed that the feeling of the sacred fire began to stay around me for longer periods after I had finished. I couldn't believe it! I was actually feeling the sacred fire dissolve and release the dark sludge of my own painful emotional chaos that seemed to be growing before I began this powerful work. The Frenchman had a unique ability that he would display during our meetings. After we had completed an hour of decrees to aid either the earth, political conflagrations, threatening environmental conditions, dangerous weather conditions, or our personal selves, he would then ceremonially call one of these Galactic Council members into the room. The Frenchman could orate the messages from these ascended beings with incredible clarity, often for 1-1/2 hours. He would have the most incredible things to say. I found myself listening to his words, but I would connect with the energy of the higher frequencies even more intently. I was always trying to open my own heart wide enough to feel and interact with every nuance of the heart of the ascended being. It felt like lying naked on a deserted beach and soaking up every ray the warm sun had to offer straight into the core of my heart. The ascended masters' hearts are so wide and radiant, that it was like sitting in front of the sun! Whenever the Frenchman would orate the messages from these ascended beings, the room would turn colors visibly according to the master in attendance and fill the room (and each of us) with so much unconditional love. I checked for myself that the actual lights in the room could only be set in the on or off position. There were no colored lights. In the beginning, I could never see Mother Mary, but when she entered I knew it was her because the room would turn pink and the smell of roses would permeate the entire room. In addition, tears of the most profound and humbling joy would flood me. This also happened to others in the room. Later, as I had experienced how to detach as well as tune to the higher frequencies of the sacred fire, I began to get glimpses of the first the face and then the entire body of the masters. Words fall so short in describing how resplendent they are. It brings tears. After performing so many decrees, I found it indeed stopped the mental chatter that always plagued me at the onset of my decreeing. In time, I grew accustomed to the particular feeling inside my mind that occurs at the moment the internal chatter stops. Eventually, I learned how to call upon that feeling at will without having to do the decreeing. This became very useful when I would sit at the Frenchman's house during the moments when he would be conveying the messages of the masters. I found that using this newly developed skill of detachment led to the ability to access the inner eye vision center. I was able to see the masters sporadically when I used a combination of detachment and opening my heart wide enough so I could interact with every nuance of the master's heart. I realize now that I was using detachment and merging techniques to enter and interact with their paradigm. Meditation Exercises for Stage #4 Surrendering Sur-ren-der: to give (oneself) up to some influence, course, emotion, etc.- Webster's Dictionary For the purpose of this article, surrender constitutes the point of complete detachment from one paradigm or continuum of experience fully enough to allow entrance into another operating paradigm or continuum. Surrendering is one of the most difficult areas to understand and refine. It is the central pillar around which the other four stages revolve. Opening the heart is not achieved without the ability to surrender. And yet surrender cannot be fully achieved without the opening of the heart. Surrendering enables the first stages of the heart to open and the heart is the instrument that enables the final acts of surrender to take place efficiently. Surrender comes in two stages. They are: 1. RELEASING - Releasing oneself from all forms of personal control (over something) whether physical, mental, and/or emotional. This leads to (2) below. Example: Letting go of a fear of abandonment in order to embrace the experience of being loved unconditionally. 2. EMBRACING - After releasing a fear that has stopped one's ability to experience joy (1, above), stage two is the act of surrendering to (or becoming one with) the full experience (or the embracing) of a new paradigm. Using the example above, as one surrenders to being loved unconditionally, one begins to embrace and embody those characteristics of unconditional love. These two stages of surrender require a degree of detachment and fluidity. Fluidity is a rare unified state of being that is sufficiently interwoven with equal parts of humility, compassion, acceptance, appreciation, reverence, unconditional love, and detachment. This creates the fluid state of mind and emotions necessary to navigate the new 4D paradigm. Refining the ability to access the golden tapestry of surrendering begins with understanding and experiencing each of these emotions until you can call up any or all of these emotions at will. In the ancient schools this was practiced at length until one could feel the golden tapestry of surrender in the face of any person or situation. The golden tapestry of surrendering enables the heart to open itself to its fullest proportions. It is easier to hold on to our attitudes and arrogance rather than to hold on to the golden tapestry of surrendering. It takes a great deal of courage to stand before ourselves and open our own eyes to see, feel, and claim our own arrogance and attitudes as they crop up in varying situations and before various people. Arrogance fractures the golden tapestry and closes the doorways to finer realities. Humility (the state of being humble) and appreciation are the forerunners to weaving the rest of the golden tapestry back together. Seeing and accepting that you have an attitude or arrogance can lead to the a deeper understanding of it and compassion for it. This honesty creates a humility, which in turn will lead to repairing the golden tapestry. Sometimes, my teachers would have me take a day to myself. After meditating and opening up my heart, they would instruct me to ride the bus for the day. While I was on the bus and still feeling the surrender, they would instruct me to first feel humility and reverence for every being on the bus. At times, I found my ego and arrogance raise its head. I found that appreciating my ego for all of its contributions and welcoming it into my reality took the charge out of it and thus allowed me to regain my humility. When I could fully create the golden tapestry silently with every one on the bus, my heart found a white light radiance at the core of each person's heart. I could see and feel rays of light connecting every heart. When this occurred, I discovered that I had a way to identify, appreciate, and grasp something much more beautiful, stable, and permanent than the unpredictable mental, emotional, or physical state of any given person. This gave me what I needed so I could identify what I could touch, surrender to, and merge with in other people's hearts . I found an untapped ocean of pure hearts within which my own heart could reside. I began to use this technique whenever I stood in line at the grocer or at the bank. On one occasion after meditating, I was thrust into an experience. I was inside of an incredible vision flying across what looked like the American southwest. I did not know to where I was flying, but it was an incredible sensation having my arms outstretched at my sides and whisking effortlessly across the warm air to an unknown destination. I wound up on top of a tall (approximately 800ft) reddish butte that seemed rather small in circumference. A few other reddish buttes of the same height stood nearby and the sun was high in the sky. This place was exotic; I had never seen anything like this before. I was just wondering if it was real when I looked around to one end of the butte. An elder Indian male stood solemnly there, holding up a light colored, full-length blanket that was draped around him. It had many symbols on it. I walked over to him and he began talking to me without moving his mouth. He knew my name and by the gentle way he expressed himself, I knew I liked him a lot. He began to share stories about history with me, and how certain events shaped the hearts of men. He told me things that opened my understanding and smothered my ego in a sea of humility. With his gentle ways, he guided me out of my deep feelings of humility. He then showed me how man, when he discovers for himself the powers that arise from being completely and utterly humble in the face of any creature, has the power to balance and open the earth and the sky. He pointed to the horizon and told me, "This is what you are. The horizon delicately balances its ability to hold the earth and the sky. All things become open and available to the humble and sincere." From that moment on, I began a series of meetings with this man called White Eagle. Each time I was to go into meditation I would find myself there on top of that mesa. (Later, I found out that it was Merrick Butte in Monument Valley.) White Eagle taught me, in a series of lessons, how to detach enough from my physical form to become various shapes or beings. His favorite seemed to be the eagle. Meditation Exercises for Stage #5 Heart Meditations: Increasing the Ability to Merge 1. Introduction 2. Masculine and Feminine Energies of the Heart 3. Opening More of the Heart A. Phase I: Heart Meditations 1. Waterfall Meditations 2. Tuning into the Flow B. Phase II: Heart Meditations 1. Cleansing the Emotions and Releasing 2. Receiving and Drinking Pure Essence 3. Stimulating the Flow of Unconditional Love 4. Filling the Chalice 1. Introduction Merging meditations are just one of many forms of meditation. Up until now in this article we have been practicing merging. Merging meditations quickly lead to another form of meditation called Heart Meditations. When refined and used effectively, Heart Meditations lead to accessing liquid light which, in turn, leads to a state of being known as the light body. Practicing all the previous meditations creates a solid foundation that enables us to practice even more advanced abilities of using the heart and the mind. This foundation is essential and is the basic requirement to further accessing the state of liquid light. Refining our ability to tune to and merge with fluid or liquid states increases our ability to merge more completely with any targeted object. The universal prerequisite for entering into the liquid light state is that we must actually become liquid light. Throughout history seekers have always found that they have to match the frequency of the realm they wish to enter or the doorway into it will not be exposed. This means that in order to enter the liquid light state, one must fully merge with and become liquid light itself. To begin accessing the liquid light state, we must first build an internal template that will help us understand how we can create this essence inside of us. Most of us have not had the rare opportunity to experience the liquid light and therefore do not have the template necessary to confidently begin. Here is a step-by-step process that can be used to achieve the states of liquid light with rather good results. 2. Masculine and Feminine Energies of the Heart Our heart has the ability to utilize the feminine and masculine characteristics of unconditional love. It is vital to understand both male and female qualities of unconditional love and be able to fully use them in order to achieve complete balance. To begin, it is easiest to learn the feminine qualities first. (In this article, we will only address the feminine. In later articles we will explore the masculine). The feminine aspect of the heart will be introduced through a series of water meditations. After completing these, you will be able to integrate the lessons and identify within you the state where light becomes "liquid-like" and what it takes to arrive there. 3. Opening More of the Heart These next exercises require an ability to extend even more of your feeling-sense into the target object. This means that you will need to be able to open and access even more of the sensitive feeling fibers in your heart. (This is why in the beginning you should be alone in a natural area of beauty to perform these exercises until you can successfully access the deeper regions of the heart at will.) The heart can be very timid, shy, and reluctant to open to those deeper, more sensitive and vulnerable states. It is ironic that the states of the heart that make us feel weak, sensitive, and vulnerable are the very qualities that give us the greatest gifts. Because of this, it is important to create a circumstance in which we surround our heart with whatever elements it needs to keep it open. Begin to compile a list of elements that help your heart to open. (Examples include: plants, animals, loved ones, music, art, etc.) Beauty will always help to open the heart through the emotion of appreciation. The appreciation of beauty resonates straight to the core of the heart and stimulates the flow of unconditional love. The ego believes that beauty is non-threatening, so it will not try to sabotage our sense of appreciation. In that case, the heart opens without the ego being interfering. A. Phase I: 1. Waterfall Meditations for Opening the Heart Water is very feminine in its many qualities. Water is also one of the best teachers and tool to help us understand the similarities between emotion and the flow of true unconditional love. When studying the flow dynamics of water in its many forms such as a brook, a stream, a lake, or an ocean, we can discover so many secrets of the heart, our emotions, and the nature of unconditional love. Find a waterfall away from the city where others will not disturb you. At the waterfall, sit as close as possible without getting wet. Find a comfortable spot where you can sit for up to 2 hours. You can either face the waterfall or put your back to it. Relax comfortably, but don't rush. Sense if there are any muscles that may still be unconsciously tense. After you have relaxed all muscle groups and quieted the mental chatter, begin to take deeper and longer breaths. 2. Tuning into the Flow The waterfall has a downward flow to it that creates a specific energy essence. This flowing essence affects the emotional body in a magnetic way. Our emotions become attracted to the downward flowing essence. Try to relax enough to feel this essence. When you can feel this downward flowing magnetic essence, bring that sensation to the top of your head and body. Imagine the water essence flowing into the mind and out through the heart. It would be just like you were actually sitting under the waterfall itself and the water was flowing in through the top of your head and out through your heart. Allow yourself time to get a good feel for this. This may take a few return visits. Important Note: This meditation needs to be mastered enough for you to be able to feel this flowing essence as you go about your daily routines. You should be able to go to work and feel the essence of the waterfall flowing through and around you. What makes this exercise so powerful is that water helps you to remain within a state of release. Remaining in a state of constant release and flow rather than constriction enables the heart to remain open by floating on your flow of emotional fluidity. (This is similar to a lotus exposing its beauty to the sun as it floats on the waters of the pond.) Phase II: 1. Cleansing the Emotions and Releasing Next, as you feel the water flowing through you, begin to intend that it act as a cleanser on your emotions and the tiny feeling fibers within the heart. As the essence of the water flows through your insides, pour out into the flow any emotional scars, pains, or fears. Allow the internal water flow to wash it out of you. You can also use the flowing water essence to fill these needy emotions with loving essence until they heal themselves. In either case, continue the process until you can no longer feel any pain, fear, or neediness. As you more deeply open the heart, you can learn so much about your emotions using this process while allowing yourself to be completely vulnerable and sensitive. 2. Receiving and Drinking Pure Essence Completing this process of releasing sets the stage for receiving new energy or feelings. If you have ever observed water flowing downstream into a dry creek or riverbed you could see how the running water stops at any holes or depressions in the riverbed and fills them first before continuing on its journey. Our chest and heart area is similar to the riverbed in that if we don't take time everyday to generate the feeling of love and bath within it until we are full, the heart and chest area will become dry, rigid, and cracked. When we release the spring of unconditional love, the flow of love (like the water) stops to fill the holes or depressions within us first before continuing on it way. Allowing the flowing essence of love to fill the boulders of emotional scars until they release is like physically removing the boulders that block or impede the water flowing in the riverbed. Additionally, when observing a stream with water flowing over an area with a depression, the water can stir up the inside of the depression and bring up old muck. This would obscure your ability to view the bottom of the depression. This is a good analogy to describe what happens when we open the heart deeply. Sometimes, it stirs up old, unhealed, painful feelings. At times, several of these unhealed feelings are unleashed and it leaves us overwhelmed because so many pains hit at once. This makes us feel emotionally murky and confused. We can't isolate exactly what hurts so much, so we remain unclear about how to deal with it effectively. In this case, just continue to allow the flow of that water essence moving through you to gently continue washing the muck away naturally or filling the depression until it is healed. If you were to watch that stream flowing over the billowing muck of a stirred-up depression, you would see that the stream would carry away the muck in portions and leave currents or eddies of clear water. In a short time, the flow of the stream clears out the muck. This is exactly what happens in our feeling world when we continually acknowledge, feel, and appreciate the essence of the water flowing through us. The flow is the power (or magic) and is where the healer resides. Remaining conscious of this flow is vital. 3. Stimulating the Flow of Unconditional Love At this point we are ready to begin to appreciate the qualities of water. Appreciating these qualities can help stimulate the heart to release the flow of unconditional love (which is our main objective). Once the rigid, needy, fearful, or painful feelings¾called walls around the heart¾have been released, the heart is free to receive what it needs for itself. After it is nourished, it will begin to expose even more sensitive and vulnerable feelings. These deeper and more vulnerable feelings are protected from exposure (and healing) when the heart is closed. The heart uses love, beauty, compassion, and appreciation as sustenance and stimulation. When the heart drinks of these qualities and has been given all the time it needs to fill itself, it becomes activated. Recognizing and appreciating the freshness of the water as it has been funneled, filtered, splashed, and aerated through the stream creates a clean and invigorated living water essence. Using this essence of purity and breathing it directly into the heart gives it enough nourishment to coax the flower of the heart to open. When the heart is activated, it brings forth its own calming, healing, nurturing, and invigorating unconditional loving essence that is liquidlike in quality. This liquidlike loving essence is the most profound gift we can give to ourselves and to others. It is so hard for people to believe that a heart can drink from its own fountain of love and that it can access all it needs at any time. We are taught that we can only get this sense of fulfillment and satisfaction from material objects or from our relationships. As you practice these exercises, it becomes essential to document the elements that help you open your heart at its deepest levels for future reference. 4. Filling the Chalice of the Heart When you have accomplished the opening of the heart, allow yourself time to fill the heart to its capacity. This may take up to two hours. When you feel like you cannot fill it any more, begin to inhale the feeling of that light. Imagine your lungs to be extensions of your heart. Feel as if your lungs are no longer breathing air but are breathing the intense and intimate love in your heart. Breathing in the love will have an interesting effect. Your feelings will seem like they are becoming radiant. As this radiance begins, it may first appear as white light. Continue to increase the light/love you are inhaling directly into the core of the heart. As you continue breathing in these feelings, the heart will increase its condensation of light/love. Increasing the amount of light/love increases the viscosity of it. When light/love is concentrated rapidly in this way, the substance has no other option but to fold and merge in on itself and increase its intensity and viscosity. This high intensity of light/love merging in on itself creates liquid light. Creating the refined environment within our bodies in which liquid light can exist gives us the ability to open the time/space 3D continuum that exposes the portals or wormholes into higher frequencies. With your heart now immersed in the liquid light, try to merge the heart with the waterfall until you can become the waterfall and all of the surroundings. Try extending the golden liquid light into your surroundings, beginning with one object at a time. When you can turn everything liquid around you by extending the liquid light from your heart, you will be ready for the next adventure. The Light Body In performing this exercise, the first light stage will encompass the seven spectrums of the white light. However, liquid light will become golden as we continue to concentrate light/love inside our own heart. As we do, the seven spectrums of white light will merge with five more to create the golden light. When the light/love turns golden, relax your breathing. The golden light will stabilize as you and feelings upon it. The golden light has a viscosity that seems slightly thicker than water. Immerse yourself within it and completely merge. Immersing and merging with the golden liquid light will allow you to access another gift. You will have successfully activated your Light Body.
